For those about to drink, we've got bad news for you. A local council has instituted a temporary ban on liquor for AC/DC's Dec. 15 concert at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand.

The ban followed a unanimous vote by the Waitemata Local Board Monday (Nov. 10). Antony Wilson, a senior sergeant with the Auckland police, wrote a letter to the Auckland council requesting the dry zone – and board chairman Shale Chambers said she shared his worry about overzealous consumption, according to the New Zealand-based Stuff.

These kind of temporary bans have "significantly assisted in curbing alcohol-related harm and offending in public areas," Senior Sergeant Antony Wilson said. Inspector Gary Davey also went through "the levels of intoxication and alcohol-related harm that was likely at this type of event," Chambers said.

The ban will be in effect for 24 hours around the arena, beginning at 6AM on Dec. 15. No word on whether AC/DC will include "Have a Drink On Me" on the setlist. Anyone who does will be subject to a $250 fine for consuming or possession of alcohol. Surrounding streets in a loop around the stadium and the Auckland Zoo will also be included in the restricted area.

AC/DC are appearing in support of their latest studio effort, Rock or Bust. The tour reached their home country of Australia earlier this month, as the group played their first show at ANZ Stadium in Sydney in five years. AC/DC is touring without Phil Rudd, though their troubled drummer lives nearby in Tauranga, New Zealand.
