I love radio, but I love it because it keeps me connected to people. I've done almost every job in the business and now I have the honor of working at this station! I am married to a wonderful (now) retired MSgt in the Air Force. The Darin makes regular appearances on my show, but he usually refuses to talk, so I have to tell all his stories for him. Dillon is my stepson and his stories are also familiar to those that listen regularly. Dillon could be the next me. He LOVES being on the radio. Most days, I work from home and do my show with a portable studio that was built for me since I am now semi-retired (at the ripe old age of 34). So, if you hear the dishwasher, the washing machine or the sounds of a 9 year old with his Lego, it's all good!

Loyalty To Our Ancestors does NOT Include Loyalty to their Mistakes
"Loyalty to our ancestors does NOT include loyalty to their mistakes."
That, my friends, exactly sums up my feelings today as the state government in South Carolina has taken the Confederate Flag down. Hopefully for good this time.
Uh, oh. . .I can already hear the rumbling. But, I ask you to respectfully read the rest of this article and to think of more than just the gut feeling that
Celebrating our 8th Wedding Anniversary – Any Good Pottery Ideas?
The Darin and I will celebrate our 8th anniversary this month. it's hard to believe it has only been eight years. It moves so fast yet seems like it's been this way forever.
While I muse on that interesting paradox, I have one other big issue: the anniversary present.

A Non Traditional Dad: A Salute for Father’s Day
My dad is pretty non traditional for this area. He was born and raised in Garland, TX and has lived in a tiny town in Texas for most of his life. That tiny town (shout out to Haskell, TX) is full of farmers and people who work with their hands and have a simple approach to life. That is where I grew up and where my mom and dad raised me and my older brother.
