I love radio, but I love it because it keeps me connected to people. I've done almost every job in the business and now I have the honor of working at this station! I am married to a wonderful (now) retired MSgt in the Air Force. The Darin makes regular appearances on my show, but he usually refuses to talk, so I have to tell all his stories for him. Dillon is my stepson and his stories are also familiar to those that listen regularly. Dillon could be the next me. He LOVES being on the radio. Most days, I work from home and do my show with a portable studio that was built for me since I am now semi-retired (at the ripe old age of 34). So, if you hear the dishwasher, the washing machine or the sounds of a 9 year old with his Lego, it's all good!

Watermelon: Fruit? Veggie? Waste of Government Resource? [POLL]
Even in the best governmental system in the universe, there will be periods of self-serving stupidity. I believe that is what is happening right now in the Oklahoma state government concerning the ongoing debate on whether the watermelon is a vegetable or a fruit and whether it should remain the state's official vegetable.

We always love the idea of a short week BEFORE it happens, but WHEN it is happening, it's weird.
Here is a day-by-day account of HOW TO SURVIVE A SHORT WEEK...
What You Don’t Know About MLK
I saw a Facebook post the other day about unknown facts regarding Martin Luther King, Jr. I didn't believe a few so went on my own to research Dr. King. While some of the facts in the post were false, I ended up learning a LOT about the activist and now appreciate his commitment and sacrifice even MORE!
Text Me While Driving. It’s Not Against The Law in Oklahoma
No, don't really text me while driving. That would be stupid, right? Why, then, is Oklahoma one of only SIX states that still has no law against texting while driving for the general public?
