Prep the cutlery choir and throw on your best yellow ball gown — the first full-length Beauty and the Beast trailer from the forthcoming 2017 live-action remake is here, and it's as beautiful as a field full of cursed roses.

Disney released the video — which stars Emma Watson as heroine Belle — this morning (November 14) and didn't leave much to fans' imagination. The clip finds the bookish protagonist pleading for her father's release in The Beast's dungeon, navigating the castle library's many miles and talking to some of the area's friendlier inanimate objects.

And fans were immediately swept up by the magic. "Thank you Emma Watson for bringing so much more strength and depth to this character. They could not have cast anyone better," one wrote on Watson's Facebook page after the actress shared the clip, while another commenter noted "'Beauty and the Beast' was my favorite childhood movie and I honestly just got a little emotional at how perfect this trailer was!"

The 1991 animated Beauty and the Beast forerunner (based on Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont's French fairy tale) grossed more than $400 million worldwide and became the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. The new live-action installment also stars Dan Stevens as The Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts.

Beauty and the Beast will open in theaters on March 17, 2017.
