Beloved Actor George Lindsey Dead At 83 [VIDEO]

The legendary comedian George Lindsey has passed away at the age 83! He leaves behind a legacy. His work as a comedian and beloved TV character will be remember by generations to come. Take a look at our favorite Lindsey's skits!

Lindsey played the part of Goober Pyle from 1964 to 1972 on the Andy Griffith Show and then went on to play that same character of Hee Haw for 20 years  from 1972 to 1992.

George had initially read for the role of Gomer Pyle but didn't get the part which eventually went to his good friend Jim Nabors, but when the show Gomer Pyle USMC started and Gomer left the Andy Griffith show producers were so impressed with Lindsey that they created the part of Goober just for him.
