Just like that week 10 of the 2014 football season has come and gone last Friday night as it capped off a exciting close to the season on senior night at Cameron stadium as the home town crowd showed their true appreciation before the game to what this senior group has meant to the Highlander nation with one exciting year. In their tenure at Mac this senior group has amassed 27 wins, a district championship, a semi-final appearance last year and a city championship this year and win number 28 would seem to be a easy task as Big Mac found their first score on their third play and just 50 seconds into the game as from Will Collins pop passed to Deion James and a quick 7-0 score.

The Highlanders would then score on their next 3 consecutive plays from running back Devon Finkley, Will Collins, and Teddrick Thomas and just like that before El Reno knew what was happening.
MacArthur was up 21-0 nothing in the first quarter. The starters and most seniors would see a quick exit to this ball game and were left just to watch the remainder of the game as the JV team finished out the night on top 49-3.

The Highlanders finish the regular season at 9-1 and 6-1 in the district and in a 3 way tie for first place in the district which the final outcome would come down to district points to decide first, second and third between Ardmore, Altus and Big Mac. When it was all calculated up Ardmore would win the district on points with MacArthur finishing second and Altus in the third seed.

MacArthur will host the first road of the playoffs this week against a familiar foe in the Carl Albert Titans. This game will be played on a short week Thursday night because cross town rival Lawton High, who won their district on Friday and will host the first road of the playoffs since the 3 high schools in Lawton share the same field at Cameron stadium.
This will be a exciting week on a projected cold night at Cameron stadium for a 7:00 kickoff start. You can catch the game live on MY 107, online and click to listen live here. The road to the GOLD BALL starts here as the Highlanders look to "Rise Up" to the challenges that lie ahead!
