Britney Spears has been summoned to discuss her personal finances as a result of her ongoing child support battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

According to Us Weekly, the "Gimme More" performer has been subpoenaed to appear for a deposition to address her profits, "most recent tax returns, and a completed income and expense declaration," a source told the outlet.

The order, which has been accepted by Spears' lawyer, Laura Wasser, denotes the deposition will commence two weeks from now.

This appeal for the 36-year-old's fiscal testimony is the latest development in Federline's ceaseless efforts to increase Spears' child support fees, as initially reported in February. The backup dancer, who currently receives $20,000 per month in child support, is now seeking triple that amount.

Back in May, Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, rejected an offer to settle out of court by the "Make Me" musician's legal team, telling Us Weekly the conditions of the settlement were unreasonable. "It’s their position that they don’t have to turn over Britney’s financial information, including tax returns, which is required under the California family code," Kaplan added. "It’s not California celebrity code edition — she has to comply."

In 2008, Spears lost sole physical and legal custody of their two children, Jayden and Sean Preston, following her three-year marriage to Federline between 2004 and 2007.
