Twisted Evolution Car Club will host its first Hotrods for Paws Car Show Friday at McKenzie's Old Fashion Burger Garage, 206 NW Dearborn in Lawton.

Twisted Evolution decided to use the club's first car show to benefit a cause close to its members' hearts, and the local cause chosen is Rainbow Bridge Can Wait, a local animal adoption, fostering and volunteering program. Several members of Twisted Evolution have opened their homes to rescue animals, so this cause hit close to home.

All motorized vehicles can enter the car show, and registration will be from 6-8 p.m. Trophies will be given for Best of Show, Best Lights, Best Interior and other categories, and will be awarded from 9:30-10 p.m. Raffles for prizes such as a set of P-1 tweeters (including installation) from High Volume Audio; a dinner for two from McKenzie's Old Fashion Burger Garage; two adult tickets for a 3-D IMAX showing at Carmike's Patriot 13; dinner for two at Kobe's; a $25 gift card to Just 4 K9s and Kitties will be drawn from 9-9:30 p.m.

David Vice, a Twisted Evolution member called in and joined the morning show on Thursday, and gave us the details on the event.
