Two major changes coming to Ft. Sill were announced this week, including a new Commanding General, to be assigned to the post this summer.

Currently assigned to Fort Meade, Maryland, Major General Brian McKiernan is scheduled to replace Major General John Rossi this summer. General McKiernan has previously served at Fort Sill, acting as Commandant of the Field Artillery school as well as Chief of Field Artillery from 2012 through 2013; Major General Rossi's next assignment has not been announced.

A new Commandant of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School was also announced this week. Brigadier General Randall A. McIntire will serve as the new Commander of the Air Defense School while also serving as the chief of the ADA at Fort Sill. Current Brig. Gen. Christopher Spillman is being reassigned to Fort Bliss where he’ll serve as the commanding general of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command.

A date has not been set for a change of command ceremony for either position.
