Could ‘Breaking Bad’s’ Chicken Restaurant Become A Reality?
The creator of 'Breaking Bad' and it's spin-off 'Better Call Saul', Vince Gilligan did an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit where he answered fan questions about the two shows. One question, asked if Los Pollos Hermanos, a fast-food chicken restaurant owned by one of Breaking Bad's antagonist, Gus Fring, could become an actual restaurant.
According to Gilligan, it might just be.
On the Reddit thread Gilligan stated:
Believe it or not... there is talk of a Pollos Hermanos becoming a real restaurant. This is not an idea that I generated personally. But it's one that's been presented to me, through the good folks at Sony, and the idea came to them from a businessman who has an interest in doing just that.
Speaking for myself, I'd love to see that happen!
After that comment many fans stated all sorts of ideas that could be in the restaurant if the idea became a reality.
Many fans suggested Heisenburgers and Onion Frings as a menu item and one fan even stated having an ice cream dish with blue colored pop rocks, similar to Walter White's blue meth, which the producers made as a blue rock candy during production of the show.
If the restaurant does become a reality, it might finally give the people that live in the home that was used in a show a day or two for not taking pizzas off their roof.
