As you may have heard, yesterday House Republicans passed a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, throwing the future of health care in America into doubt. On The Daily Show, Trevor Noah mocked how the GOP passed the bill without actually getting an official cost estimate or telling anyone what was in it. "Your baby could have to do its own C-section from the inside!" he joked, somewhat morbidly.

Noah did get a bit more serious when discussing the most controversial aspect of the health care bill: its treatment of people with preexisting conditions. To cover those folks, the American Health Care Act provides merely $8 billion in additional funding for what it calls a high-risk pool ("sounds like something you'd find in Charlie Sheen's backyard"). That's a whopping $192 billion short of the estimated cost. "If you're short by 192 billion dollars, just say you don't have the money, alright?" Noah said. "You can't be like, 'Oh hey, I forgot my wallet at home, can you spot me 192 billion dollars? Yeah, I'll Venmo it back.' "

Seth Meyers also took aim -- or should we say he took A Closer Look -- at the Republican bill, comparing it to a previous version from weeks ago that would do the following:

  • throw 24 million people off health insurance
  • raise premiums for older, poor Americans by more than 750 percent
  • cut Medicaid by $880 billion
  • give the wealthy a near-trillion-dollar tax cut

That version of the AHCA wasn't harsh enough for some ultra-conservative congressmen to support, so Republicans included all sorts of new elements, like ending the requirement that insurance cover ambulance trips or pregnancy. "To get the bill passed, Republicans added new things that made it even worse," Meyers said. "They basically took an oatmeal-raisin cookie and added cilantro."

In lighter news, it's that time of year again, so Jimmy Fallon shared some great #PromFails from his viewers. Imagine wearing a dress the same color as the green screen behind you for your photograph -- it looks like you're being erased ("erased...from existence!"). But the best one is probably from @hannapolakowski: "My date decided eating at Burger King before prom was romantic. He asked for a crown, placed it on my head, gazed into my eyes, and said, 'You can have it your way.' " Romantic indeed.

And over on Conan, they celebrated a mashup of yesterday's Star Wars Day and today's Cinco de Mayo by inviting Darth Mole to come by. Darth Mole wielded his famous double-pointed lightsaber while handing out churro lightsabers to the audience. It looks like the former Darth Maul may have put on some weight in his retirement, but he sure seems happy (for a Sith lord).
