Deja' Vu #2! Here we go again, it was one year ago that the Highlanders came away with an exciting 2 point win at Hightower stadium against the Altus Bulldogs. Both teams came into this years matchup undefeated at 4-0 and both ranked in the top 10. Number 1 Big Mac against the number 7 team in the state in Altus faced off against each other at Cameron stadium. It was also the first cool fall evening of the season with temperatures dropping into the low 50's. The weather was welcoming to a standing room only packed house at Cameron stadium. According to head coach Brett Manning

"It will be the most physical game we will have played thus far. Who ever will play the most physical the longest will come out victorious."

Manning added to his team at the half. The Altus bulldogs may have controlled the time of possession by running all night but in a close game such as this it was the Mac defense and great special teams that came up big once again. Another 2 point victory this time the final score read 21-19!

Senior Walter Neil would be the games overall MVP with not only adding another blocked PAT to his resume but he held Altus behind the eight ball, so to speak, and found themselves the next score having to go for two which failed on a hand off to the goal line.

Then Neil, clinching the game ending interception, driving with 1:04 left in the ball game and just like last year would prevent Altus coming away with the upset. It was the most exciting game for this 2015 squad to be a part of since most only experienced all of last year excitement as on lookers from the bench.

This was there BIG win as one unit that is coming together and defining who they are as family. Its exciting to watch them grow into their own identity. "Denovo" which means "again" is definitely a possibility for this years squad. But not much time to celebrate because the boys from up on the "Hill" will have to travel to Duncan to take on the Demons at Halliburton stadium. Game time is set for 7:00 PM with the pre-game at 6:30.Join our broadcast crew of Eric Sharum Jay Burk and Bink Mooney for all the action. Only sad thing is we have completed half of the regular season but strap yourselves in for what should be a exciting finish. We will see you this Friday!
