The highlight of every high school year is the end of year prom, and that time of year is almost upon us once again. The styles and the fashions worn are just as, if not more important, than the actual dance itself. And the First Baptist Church of Duncan is looking to make sure that everyone has the ability to attend Prom in style.

The church has collected hundreds of dresses, along with shoes purses and other accessories that they are offering on loan for anyone to borrow for their big day. The dresses, which they have in an array of sizes and colors, were donated from members of the Duncan community, and their is no cost to prom goers; the church has even arranged a deal with a local dry cleaner to have the dresses dry cleaned upon return, alleviating one more expense from the happy night. The church is doing all that it can to ensure that every girl's prom is a special moment in their lives.

In order to have as big a selection as possible for the upcoming prom season, the church is also looking for donations of dresses and accessories. First Baptist is hoping for help to make prom dreams come true, asking that if you do have a prom dress in a closet or a box that isn't being used, the hope is you'll donate it and help to fulfill a young girl's prom dreams. Duncan First Baptist Church is located at 901 W Ash Ave. It will host an event for girls to borrow dresses this Saturday, April 2, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

If anyone wants to donate or borrow a dress, they can call the church at (580) 252-5885 to set up an appointment.
