Fort Sill Will Have Delayed Opening – UPDATE

Fort Sill will have delayed opening for the next few days. The AAFES Exchange at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Mow-Way Road will remain open 24/7. (More details follow)

UPDATE:

Fort Sill will have DELAYED OPENING FRIDAY.
The AAFES Exchange at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Mow-Way Road will remain open 24/7.
All facilities will close at 4 p.m. TODAY.

FRIDAY -- Personnel report at 10 a.m. and facilities (AAFES, Commissary, MWR, etc.) will open at 10:30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Please do NOT arrive early so crews can sand/salt roads and parking lots.

Fort Sill's 26th Weather Detachment says we could get a significant amount of freezing rain FRIDAY beginning around 8:30 a.m. and lasting into the evening. Also, what's on the ground today will not melt off because temps won't rise above freezing. The freezing precip could transition to snow SATURDAY morning.

Fort Sill roads are expected to be AMBER during this time. Use caution as roads will be wet and could have ice, especially on bridges, overpasses and intersections.
