The 9th annual Armed Services Y-Fry fundraising dinner is happening tonight and Thursday night at the Great Plains Coliseum from 5 to 8 pm. Proceeds will go to the Armed Services YMCA, and the cost is $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Children 5 and under eat free with an accompanying adult. Tickets are available at the Armed Services YMCA, Adventure Travel, Arvest Bank locations in Lawton, Chick-fil-A on Cache Rd. and from any ASYMCA trustee.

This annual event helps to support the Armed Services YMCA, an institution who last year alone provided assistance to over 15,000 soldiers and their family members. The Armed Services YMCA is the areas leading nonprofit organization providing services that support enlisted personnel and their families. Volunteers from the local community along with soldiers from Fort Sill will be on hand to help serve dinner to those that attend.

The dinner will consist of chicken and/or fish, mashed potatoes with gravy, cole slaw or green beans, roll, beverage and a cookie for desert. For more information, call the Armed Services YMCA at (580) 355-5520.
