What do you get the rock legend who already has everything? For one Keith Richards fan, the answer was allegedly "a homemade bomb."

TMZ reports that when police responded to a break-in call at the Connecticut mansion of 69-year-old Joseph Callahan last week, they discovered a little more than they'd bargained for -- specifically, a massive arsenal of weapons and explosives that included "roughly 100 pounds of ammonium nitrate" (which, as history buffs will recall, was the same substance used to wreak havoc in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing). Asked to explain himself, Callahan naturally blamed it on a Rolling Stone.

According to TMZ's sources, Callahan told police he "planned to give the bomb to Keith Richards, but had no intention of harming him," at which point he was arrested and placed under a 72-hour lockdown for psychiatric observation. He's since been charged with "112 counts of illegal possession of explosives, reckless endangerment and manufacture of bombs."

Somewhat surprisingly, he's also apparently been released on his own recognizance. According to Callahan's lawyer, his client was "mentally unstable" when he called police to the house, but now he's in therapy. Fingers crossed for a full recovery. And here's hoping next time, Callahan plans a more appropriate gift, like a few crates of cigarettes or a nice bouquet of flowers.
