Sorry to crush your dreams, To All the Boys I've Loved Before fans, but Lara Jean and Pete Kavinsky IRL is never gonna happen.

The two stars of Netflix's hit 2018 rom-com, based on the book of the same name, have been consistently insistent that, despite their palpable chemistry, they're not together off-screen—which makes perfect sense, considering leading lady Lana Condor is in a relationship with actor Anthony De La Torre, of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales fame.

But things between Condor and her co-star Noah Centineo apparently weren't always headed to a purely platonic place.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Thursday night (Jan. 10), Condor admitted to host Jimmy Fallon that when she and Centineo first met, she definitely "felt something" between them.

"We had just got back from a hot yoga class, and we went to his apartment and we ordered pizza ... it was right before we shot the movie, and we were just getting to know each other," the actress shared, explaining that she ultimately decided they needed to keep things strictly professional.

"I looked at him like, 'Noah, it's not gonna happen between us.' I felt for the [movie] to do well we had to be best friend professionals! We kind of did what we did in To All The Boys, the movie," she continued. "We made a contract and set boundaries. I'm so happy that we did that, because the movie turned out great, and now we're doing a sequel."

Fortunately, Condor's got a real-life rom-com heartthrob in her dreamy beau De La Torre, who she first met at a party about two years ago.

"His pickup line was just, 'Hey, I'm Anthony. I thought I'd make a friend,'" she told Us Weekly, adding that the actor is also a great dancer and writes her romantic love letters.

Looks like Lara's doing just fine without Peter.
