Disney's live-action Kim Possible movie has found its stars.

The network announced on Wednesday (April 25) that newcomer Sadie Stanley and The Goldbergs' Sean Giambrone will headline the upcoming comedy-adventure. Stanley, who landed the role in her first-ever audition and has since guest-starred on Game Shakers, will lead as the titular teen crime-fighter, while Giambrone will play her bumbling neighbor turned sidekick, Ron Stoppable.

The film is adapted from the beloved animated series that aired from 2002 to 2007. It centered around Kim, a high school girl who, in her spare time, saved the world from a cadre of evil villains. Aided by Ron, his naked mole-rat, Rufus, and 10-year-old computer genius Wade, she faced off with power-hungry foes like Drakken and Shego.

The show also spawned two animated movies: Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama and Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time.

Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle, who voiced Kim and Ron in the original series, marked the occasion with a spoof audition tape on Twitter, passing the proverbial torch to their successors.

Kim Possible will go into production this summer and is slated to debut next year. It was written by show creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley, who will also executive produce. It will be co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky.
