The Big Mac Attack hit the road Friday night for a road test to Duncan to take on a old rival in the Demons. The Highlanders wasted no time with a run and pass attack to take the early advantage on the score board and really never looked back and extended the undefeated season to now 6-0 and 3-0 in the district with a impressive 31-13 win at Halliburton stadium.

The new and unexpected spark came from back up running back and starting linebacker Savion Carter who took over the run duties in impressive style while resting starting running Teddy Thomas who was nursing a injury. This now sets up the game of the year for the Highlanders which will face the undefeated and number two team in the state in the Ardmore Tigers which the winner of this game will be in the driver seat for a possible district. championship. I know its early but this is week 7 and with 3 games remaining on the schedule after this.

Remember last year? The Highlanders do! Going to Ardmore and losing a heartbreaking loss which set up a 3 way tie for first and the Highlanders finishing second with points. This is also the last time Macarthur has lost after losing that game last year propelling them through the playoffs and a State Championship in 2014. Since then and 6 games into it the Highlanders have not lost since that matchup. This will be one heck of a game and maybe just as close as it was in Altus even though I don't know if my heart can take that! But none the less this game will be looked with eyes looking at it from across the state as one of the only few to be played Friday since fall break will have most games being played on Thursday including Lawton High and Eisenhower at Cameron stadium Strap yourself in for this one in person on the radio or online. Is it Friday yet? Cant wait in fact I have been waiting for this one since last year! GO BIG MAC!!!
