It was a good week to be Toronto Blue Jay third baseman Josh Donaldson. First, the 29-year old Donaldson was named the starter at the "hot corner" for the American League All-Star team, receiving a record setting 14,090,188 votes. The total passed the previous mark for votes received, set by Texas Ranger outfielder Josh Hamilton in 2011.

Donaldson joins Blue Jay teammate Jose Bautista as the only two players in team history to lead the All-Star voting. Donaldson also took home our title for Week 12's Play of the week. His diving catch into the stands not only protected the perfect game that his pitcher, Marco Estrada was working on, but it propelled Donaldson to our season ending Play of the Year competition.

Each week, we are going to be giving you the "best of the best" and giving you the opportunity to vote on our "Play of the Week." At the end of the major league season, we will compile our list of winners, and vote on the "Play of the Season."

Enjoy this week's flashes of leather and vote for your favorite!
