I'd like to congratulate CU freshman Mariah Ellis on her win as the 2018 Miss Black CU!

This past Saturday, Feb 3, I attended the 2018 Miss Black CU pageant to take photos. Alongside my internship at Townsquare Media Lawton, I also am a staff writer at the Collegian, Cameron's campus newspaper.

I am writing an article over the pageant, and we're required to submit art (photos) to go along side the article on the pages of a Collegian issue.

For a pageant with only three contestants, I thought it was pretty cool. I once attended Miss Lawton and Miss Oklahoma, and I thought that CU's pageant was on that level.
