After gracing us with both electric and orchestral versions of his new song 'Who's Gonna Stand Up?,' can you guess where Neil Young went next with it? Yep -- the singer-songwriter who stripped down on classics like 'After the Gold Rush' and 'My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)' has recorded an acoustic version.

Young has been performing the song all summer on his U.K. tour and recently played it at his Farm Aid gig on Sept. 13. You can listen to the new acoustic version of the environmental call-to-arms 'Who's Gonna Stand Up?' below.

Young premiered the song on his website at the same time he confirmed the release of a new album due sometime in November. 'Storeytone' will be the singer-songwriter's second album of 2014. 'A Letter Home' came out back in April, and included acoustic versions of songs by some of Young's favorite artists, including Bruce SpringsteenBob Dylan and Willie Nelson.

Few details are available at this time about 'Storytone.' And it's not really clear which version of 'Who's Gonna Stand Up?' will make it on the record -- if any of them. Earlier this year, Young told Billboard, "I'd like to make a record with a full-blown orchestra, live -- a mono recording with one mic. I want to do something like that where we really record what happened, with one point of view and the musicians moved closer and farther away, the way it was done in the past. To me that's a challenge and it's a sound that's unbelievable, and you can't get it any other way."

So maybe that's an indication of where the album is heading. We'll find out in a couple months.
