The Fleetwood Mac tribute album, ‘Just Tell Me That You Want Me: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac,’ is turning out to be quite a collection. On the classic rock side, the cover of ‘Oh Well‘ from ZZ Top bearded wonder Billy Gibbons received mostly good reviews. Now a trio of indie rockers have leaked their tracks as well.

Best Coast recently served up their version of ‘Rihannon’ during a special preview over at NPR. Unlike the original version, which featured Stevie Nicks delivering a rather haunting take on the lyrics, singer Bethany Consentino makes the track a peppier release with its bouncy piano beat and sunnier delivery.

There are also two more tracks that have turned up. Earlier today, Swedish songstress Lykke Li, who is known for adding a little bit of the haunting side that was missing from Best Coast’s take, provided her version of ‘Silver Springs.’ What we got was a deep bass and ‘Twin Peaks’-esque guitar backing that sounds like it would fit easily within her catalog. Add in some tambourine, taps-style drumming and finger cymbals, and you’ve got the making of ‘Silver Springs’ had it been done a decade earlier. Listen to it here.

The other track to surface comes from the New Pornographers, who took on the Fleetwood Mac classic ‘Think About Me.’ The Canadian rockers give it a radio-friendlier spin that feels reminiscent of their own original music. Check out their version here.

Gibbons, Best Coast, Lykke Li, and the New Pornographers join other acts like Marianne Faithful, the Kills, Karen Elson, Tame Impala, MGMT, Antony, and J Mascis with Lee Ranaldo on the set. ‘Just Tell Me That You Want Me’ arrives in stores Aug. 14.
