I am constantly shocked at how many recalls happen in this country.  Do you remember the movie Fight Club?  Well, in that movie the star is a recall specialist with a large motor company.  He said in his business they do a formula that pits the number of cars vs. the number of accidents and which will cost the company more:  the accidents or the recall.

Now, that is just Hollywood, but it really sticks with me. . .just like too much peanut butter on bread.

Skippy Peanut Butter (the reduced fat creamy and chunky) has recalled some of their product because they are worried there might be Salmonella in it.  They say no one has gotten sick, so they are doing this just in case.

My question is:  if someone isn't as recall conscious as I am, what happens when they eat it and then get sick, not knowing there was a recall?  I am so obsessed by this I constantly search out for recalled items.  I haven't found one yet, but I'm still looking in my pantry every day for suspicious items.
