The Oklahoma City Dodgers alongside The Oklahoman will host open auditions to sing the national anthem at Dodgers games.

The tryouts are scheduled for March 21, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the center court of Penn Square Mall.

Two hundred time slots were filled in advance for the event and those that were registered have received their audition times.

"All the slots were filled within a matter of days," said OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes. "We're looking forward to a lot of great performances Saturday and eventually at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark."

Winners will perform at Dodgers games throughout the baseball season and the grand prize winner will perform the season's home opener on April 9.

Those who are still interested in auditioning can join a standby list at Penn Square Mall beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. If tryouts run ahead of schedule or if a performer missed their previously scheduled time slot , those in the standby line will be chosen to audition. Standby performers will be picked at a first-come, first-served basis.
