The Oklahoma State Cowboys will open their 2013  college football season in the inaugural Texas Kick Off Classic at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Aug. 31. And their opponent will be the Mississippi State Bulldogs from the Southeastern Conference who are currently ranked #18 this week in the College Football rankings.

The inaugural Texas Kick Off Classic game in Houston was the idea of ESPN, and will be a huge success and they are working in conjunction with the Houston Texans and Lone Star Sports and Entertainment. The last time the Oklahoma State Cowboys played a neutral-site game during the regular season was in 1998 when the Cowboys faced the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
