OSU Men’s Basketball Team is Off to Spain
My 107.3 FM is SW Oklahoma's home for Oklahoma State sports, and with basketball season getting underway in early November the Cowboys are going to have to brush up on their Spanish as they head to Spain for the next 10 days to play basketball.
For over a week now the Cowboy Basketball team has been practicing for a trip to Barcelona, Spain where they will play in 4 exhibition games against international competition as well as several educational tours. Play some basketball and tour the beautiful city of Barcelona, sounds like a great way to end the summer before school starts and will give the coaching staff something similar to spring practice in football where the coaches will be able to determine a 'depth chart' of sorts for the upcoming season.
The foreign tour not only serves as an educational experience for the players, but it also gives the coaching staff an opportunity to push the Cowboys and see what they've accomplished during the off-season, plus gives the OSU team 10 extra days of practice time before school starts on August 20. The Cowboys will play two games in Sabadell, a suburb of Barcelona, before traveling to the Canary Islands for a pair of games in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
