With the tragic loss of the OSU Women’s Basketball Coaches, Kurt Budke and Miranda Serna, many believed the team is going to fall apart. But the girls pulled it together and started the season with a blowout 96-60 win against Rice University. The win is bringing the OSU Cowgirls one step closer to the Women’s WNIT Championship.

During last night’s press conference, Coach Jim Littell was asked:  ‘What would capturing the championship means?’ To which Littell responded: “It could be something that we could be very proud of,” he continued ‘just show the character of these girls and what they’re made of.’

The girls had an amazing run this season. They won 72-51 over Central Arkansas then they won over Wichita State, Missouri State, Colorado. The next game will be for the Championship title. The OSU Cowgirls will be playing against James Madison at the Gallagher Iba Arena on Saturday, March 31st at 2 p.m.

Littell ended the press conference by saying how blessed he feels to be coaching the OSU Women’s Basketball team.
