Pete Davidson probably seems fine every week on Saturday Night Live. However, based on his new post on Instagram, life has not been easy for the comedian since his very public split with Ariana Grande, or even before it.

Monday afternoon (December 3), Davidson posted an emotional, candid statement reading, "I've been getting online bullied and in public by people for 9 months." The post goes on to touch on his past thoughts of suicide, which he's been public about before.

"I just want you guys to know. No matter how hard the internet or anyone tries to make me kill myself. I won't," Davidson writes, before acknowledging friends and fans who've "held him down," and know the truth.

The post comes just a day after an employee at New York City restaurant Cafeteria allegedly started playing Ariana's "thank u, next" while Pete was dining there. A fan at the restaurant recorded the situation and posted it to Twitter.

Davidson and Grand broke up this past October, not long after the pair got engaged just months after they started dating. After Pete joked about the breakup on an SNL promo in October, Ariana replied on Twitter with "thank u, next" which then she released as a new single.

The song of course went on to become a massive hit, Ariana's first song to chart at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while the video just broke Vevo and YouTube's 24-hour-views record last week.
