Every week at PopCrush, we’re putting the spotlight on one up-and-coming act you need to know about. Why? So you can get on board early before everyone else and their mother jumps on the bandwagon…and so you can be that one friend in the group who’s always like, “Um, actually, I prefer their earlier work.”

When it comes to love, rules should never apply — as long as it feels right, you know you're doing it right.

That's the message behind "Feels Right," the latest offering from Canadian indie pop singer-songwriter Jocelyn Alice, whose new feel-good track boasts an equally feel-good message — one which feels particularly relevant to current events and our struggle to achieve love equality.

The follow up to her infectious Gold-certified 2015 debut single, "Jackpot," "Feels Right" finds the artist in familiar territory: big, soulful vocals; sweeping, shimmery pop banger production; and lyrics so relatable and human, the musician might as well have just pulled the words straight out of her diary.

"We don't care if we do it right / We don't care what it looks like / We got love in the night life / We got love and it feels right," she sings on the end-of-summer anthem, which falls somewhere between a relaxed pop-rock bop and Katy Perry "Roar"-esque battle cry.

"This song is about letting go of all the ideas that you have about yourself," Alice tells us of the uplifting track, for which the lyric video premieres exclusively on PopCrush today.

"It's about being everything that you are with no apologies," she continues. "Human, animal, alien... We got love and it FEELS RIGHT."
