The American Red Cross states that if a fire occurs near your home to notify your local firefighters immediately. If the fire occurs at or in your home to get out, stay out and call for help.

With the heightened risk it is a good idea to set up a fire escape plan in case of a fire.

In the event of a house fire you can contact your local Red Cross for assistance.
