Robin Gibb the 61 year old remaining twin from the Bee Gees has been released from the hospital.    Robin had been put into the hospital for inflammation of the colon.   He had been in treatment since last week in his ongoing battle with intestinal issues.  His twin brother Maurice died in 2003 from a heart attack during surgery for  intestinal complications.

The singer had emergency gastrointestinal surgery in August 2010. And in April, pain forced him to postpone a solo tour planned for South America after his medical team advised him not to travel.

He has announced that if the doctors allow him to do so, he'll return to work in a couple of days or so.
