Star Trek and Star Wars Films To Co-Exist In Theaters [VIDEO]
With Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, coming to every theater between here and Tattoine on December 18th, the battle was on to see what trailers would be seen on theater screens prior to the most anticipated movie in theatrical history. Well, another sci-fi classic franchise has nailed down one spot, a movie that many, mostly because of the hype of Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens, have forgotten is on the horizon.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Star Trek Beyond, the third in the latest series of the Gene Roddenberry classic has been attached to Episode 7, and previews will be shown across the country and across the globe prior to the epic Star Wars sequel. And its no surprise Star Trek Beyond is attached. The movie is produced by Bad Robot Productions, the production company of J.J. Abrams, who directed the first two movies in the series, and who directed the latest in the LucasFilms' Star Wars series.
This will be the first time the two historic sci-fi franchises will be linked. Star Trek Beyond is scheduled to leave its docking bay July 22nd, 2016.
