The Lawton Family YMCA is proud to announce Sue White as the new CEO of the Lawton Family YMCA. White was selected after a national search that garnered a large pool of highly qualified candidates. She brings over 25 years of Y experience to the Lawton Family YMCA.  Sue is enthusiastic about the opportunity to make the Lawton YMCA the very best.  She looks forward to working with the volunteers and staff to assure a strong Y for future generations and strengthening the foundation of our community through programs and services that focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Sue began her career with the YMCA as an exercise and dance instructor but her career with the Y is extensive, most recently as Vice President of Operations with the YMCA of Arlington, TX.  Her vast Y experience, dedication to customer service, and enthusiasm will bring new life to our YMCA in Lawton. With our 100 year celebration just around the corner and construction of the new addition well under way, our Y has exciting opportunities ahead as we become the oldest and newest YMCA in Oklahoma.

The Lawton Family YMCA Board of Directors are proud to have new YMCA leadership and be a part of one of the nation’s leading nonprofits strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Across the U.S., 2,700 Ys engage 21 million men, women and children – regardless of age, income or background – to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors. Anchored in more than 10,000 communities, the Y has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but also to deliver lasting personal and social change.
