Summer Is Less Than Two Weeks Away

Last night David and I were sitting on the porch enjoying the Oklahoma-rare light summer breeze.  He looked at me and said "Summer begins June 21st doesn't it?" "Yes dear. Just like it does every year." "That means the days are going to start getting shorter." "Yes dear, just like they do every year."

He hates to think of the days getting shorter. I swear, if he could live in Alaska for the 6 months that it stays light he would be out working the entire time.  

I enjoy summer because we can get outside and enjoy the great outdoors, go on vacation, float in the pool, do what we do every summer...oh wait! I'm married to a workaholic...we never stop!  I guess that's the life of a rancher and his wife.
