Their truncated 2012 tour didn't offer much for American fans, but with a new album around the corner and a freshly sober frontman, the guys in Black Sabbath have raised the curtain on a handful of 2013 dates that will bring the band to select American cities.

Black Sabbath has revealed the release date for the first single off their new album, '13.' The metal giants will make 'God is Dead?' available as a digital single on April 19.

With the release of '13,' the first Ozzy Osbourne-fronted album by Black Sabbath since 1978 only a couple of months away, the band recently took time to discuss the new work. The interview was conducted by Jack Osbourne, Ozzy's son and filed from the listening party they threw on Wednesday (April 10) in Los Angeles.

Last night (April 10) in Los Angeles, Black Sabbath threw a party for a hand-picked group of media members and VIPs to get the first listen to their upcoming album, '13.' Black Sabbath's world tour in support of their upcoming album '13' is beginning to take shape. Now, a series of 15 European shows have been confirmed, beginning November 20.

Last month, Black Sabbath announced that their long-awaited album '13' would be released on June 11. Today (April 4) they revealed the cover art, as well as a 27-second clip of the music within (embedded below).

North American Black Sabbath fans have been waiting a long time to see the band return to our many fine arenas, and their patience will soon be rewarded.

After much speculation, Black Sabbath have finally announced the release date for '13,' their new album. Today (March 13, fittingly), the band said that the record will come out in a variety of formats on June 11 in the U.S. and June 10 for the rest of the world.
