A Lawton man is recovering after shooting himself in the leg while in his vehicle. The accident occurred yesterday evening around 7:00 pm on the corner of 38th Street and Lee Blvd. According to the reports he was trying to pull his firearm from his pocket and accidentally shot himself.

I made a trip to our county sheriff's office today. I was applying for my carry permit. Not that I NEED to carry a gun, but I want that option because, well I guess, because I can. While I was waiting I heard a horrible story that had happened back in August in this quiet little town; A 9-year-old beautiful little girl lost her life in a tragic handgun accident.

A group called Evolve Together just put out a PSA about gun safety that features two kids playing with some...um...items they found in the house.  Pretty funny, but not safe for work (NSFW).
