A big corporate sale has made it much more likely.

For the first time in over 85 years Hasbro will be making some changes to everyone's favorite board game, Monopoly. Remain clam there's no need to panic, the changes won't be major and it's more of a freshening up than anything else.

If you didn’t get your fill of board game movies with either Battleship or Ouija, don’t worry, the trend isn’t going anywhere. After years in development, Lionsgate is moving forward with a Monopoly movie with a script by Oscar-nominated writer Andrew Niccol.

Sorry 'Monopoly' fans, you're going to have to say good-bye to one iconic game piece soon. According to a recent Facebook post, 'Monopoly' wants their fans to vote on which piece is their favorite. The item with the fewest votes will be kicked out of the game, 'American Idol'-style.
