The Man With 7 Fingers

Darin last night had phantom pains in his fingers that are no longer there.

In case you haven't kept up with the show, he had a little accident with the snowblower and, well, now he has about 7 1/2 fingers.  But he swears he can feel the tips of the missing digits.

That made me think about Phantom pains and how they are not just for missing limbs but they are everywhere.  Pain from past relationships, past hurts, past loss.

But where there is phantom pain, there must be phantom joy, too!  These are my "deep thoughts" for today.
