Per government order, the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, as well as all refuge offices, will be closed on Wednesday, 12-5-18 for a national day of mourning President George H.W. Bush. That being said, the normal refuge areas will be open to the public as always. This includes Mount Scott, but you have to either bike it or walk it as vehicles are still banned until the road repair can be completed sometime next year.

If you do hop out there, layer up and try to take something windproof. It's gonna be a cold one.
