There's been a lot of construction on S.W. Lee Blvd around the 37th block next to Archer's Corner and across from the Walmart Neighborhood Market. It's right before you get to the intersection of Lee and 38th Street. Maybe you've seen it, what's coming to Lawton next? We're all excited and we all have dreams of different stores and restaurants!

Lawton has grown a lot over the past 5 years or so. We now have Kohl's, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, Pet Smart, Academy Sports, Petco and more! Between the new 2nd Street shopping center and the new Lawton Marketplace on 82nd street we've seen more business growth this past 5 years than the 20 before it.

Anytime there's ground broke and construction starts everyone gets excited and starts naming off things they'd like to see or want in town, myself included. Remember all those years of waiting for Olive Garden to open in Lawton? Every time something was being built or ground was broke everyone would say "That's where Olive Garden is going" that went on for years. Then the magic day happened and we got an Olive Garden!

I'm very proud of all the growth and new businesses we've seen open over the past few years. It's great having options on where to shop and where to eat. Of course there's always a wish-list of stores and restaurants we'd love to have in Lawton. So with ground being broke and construction underway on S.W. Lee Blvd. what new stores or restaurants are you wishing for? Take the quick poll below and let us know what you'd like to see open in Lawton. You can pick 2 from the list or add your own store or restaurant if it's not listed. Who knows it might just happen!

So are any of the stores and restaurants listed above going in at S.W. Lee Blvd? I have no idea, but it would be great if they did! If you know what's being built and can share please do, just leave a comment below and tell us what you know. For me I'd love to have an In & Out Burger and Cabelas, how cool would that be?

I can just see me now eating In & Out Burger then roaming around Cabelas for hours and hours looking at everything firearm related. Or maybe Red Robin and Best Buy, that would be great too! Hey, I can dream can't I?
