The pastor of an Ohio church said the congregation will give away $1,000 on Easter Sunday for the second consecutive year.

The Lindenwald Baptist Church in Hamilton said $500 will be given away to a member and $500 will be given to a guest to help boost Easter Sunday attendance, which reached 1,137 last year in the church of about 500 usual attendees.

"With the economy as bad as it's been, we felt this was a way we can be a blessing in the financial realm as well as the spiritual," Pastor Randy Moore said.

"We give a lot of money to foreign missions, but we thought that for Easter, it would be a blessing to give money to some of our own."

So my question to you this morning is, would you go to church just on Easter to win money?
Or is it considered a lottery to go to Easter service?
