I love radio, but I love it because it keeps me connected to people. I've done almost every job in the business and now I have the honor of working at this station! I am married to a wonderful (now) retired MSgt in the Air Force. The Darin makes regular appearances on my show, but he usually refuses to talk, so I have to tell all his stories for him. Dillon is my stepson and his stories are also familiar to those that listen regularly. Dillon could be the next me. He LOVES being on the radio. Most days, I work from home and do my show with a portable studio that was built for me since I am now semi-retired (at the ripe old age of 34). So, if you hear the dishwasher, the washing machine or the sounds of a 9 year old with his Lego, it's all good!

What am I Reading Now? Liz Ryan’s Fall Book List
Last Saturday, after we had a delicious dinner somewhere around Central Mall, we decided to forgo a movie and take a trip to the bookstore. It's something I can do for hours but the boys are a little less patient so I convinced them with the promise I would buy them a "graphic novel" -- or comic book as they are known to non geeky people.

What Life Was Like The Day Lawton Was Born
You know those newspapers in frames that people give you to show you what the world was like on your birthday? As I get older, it's kinda sad seeing all those flared pants and giant glasses.
For Lawton, celebrating it's 114th birthday this week, it has to be pretty crazy. So, since we all celebrate this birthday, let's take a look back at 1901 and see what was happening.

Best Cities for Summer Travel — Number 7 is An Easy Drive From Lawton
The Darin and I are in the middle of a spending freeze. We've got two old vehicles, one which is about to bite the dust. In fact, the dust might be the only thing keeping it together. We need $$$$$ to get a new vehicle and we hate the idea of being in more debt, so we're cutting back and saving more.
That means we have nixed our grand summer holiday. No flights, no big week of hotels and eatin
Watch This Video of Teens Reacting to Encylopedias [VIDEO]
Teenagers. I never want to be one again . . . but watching this video makes me remember MY teenage years and the mountains of things I had to read to get the info for a research paper. Now, the world is all about how fast you can find something with Google. I use it every day, multiple times a day and so do your kids. This video will not only give you a little insight into the mind of the mode
