Caitlyn Jenner has confirmed in an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir that she has, indeed, completed gender reassignment surgery, and is feeling wonderful. And now that that's out of the way, she never wants to talk about it again.

Jenner says in a new section of The Secrets of My Life, first published by Radar, that she didn't intend to be completely open about the specifics of her transition, which she first announced nearly two years ago. But in the interest of full disclosure, she's changed her mind and hopes to shut down gossip.

“I am telling you because I believe in candor,” she said. “So all of you can stop staring. You want to know, so now you know. Which is why this is the first time, and the last time, I will ever speak of it.”

"The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated," she added. "I am going to live authentically for the first time in my life."

Jenner added that the choice to complete the procedure wasn't tremendously difficult, and that ultimately, she didn't feel connected to her male anatomy.

“So why even consider it? Because it’s just a penis," she noted. "It has no special gifts or use for me other than what I have said before, the ability to take a whiz in the woods. I just want to have all the right parts. I am also tired of tucking the damn thing in all the time.”
