How The Arts For All Festival Affects the Lawton Farmers Market

This weekend the Arts for All Festival will take over Shepler Park in Lawton, Oklahoma, and that includes the Lawton Farmers Market building and parking lot. Due to the festival, the market will be closed Saturday, May 10.

Lawton's annual Arts for All Festival will kick off at 4 p.m. today and will continue Saturday and Sunday. The Lawton Farmers Market regularly hosts its weekly market on Saturdays, but due to the festival, the market will not be taking place this Saturday.

The annual Arts for All Festival has regularly taken place at Shepler Park. But when the Lawton Farmers Market opened its new building in 2022 just south of the park, the festival saw an opportunity to utilize the building for its wine garden or other activities.

During the festival in 2022, the Lawton Farmers Market still hosted its market but not inside the building, vendors lineup along SW 4th Street and opened a few hours before the festival started. But that was the first and last time the market was open during the annual Arts for All Festival.

The next Lawton Farmers Market will be Saturday, May 17.

Those who are wanting to shop the freshest local produce in Lawton will have to wait till the next Lawton Farmers Market on Saturday, May 17. Shoppers can browse through fresh produce, locally raised meat, fresh eggs, scrumptious homemade desserts and more! The Lawton Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays - except for Arts for All Festival weekend!
