After a weekend of snow and freezing temperatures, this next weekend in Oklahoma is expected to be a hot one! Summer-like temperatures will impact most of Oklahoma on Saturday and Sunday, but some areas could see daytime highs reach 100 degrees.

It's been a dry and warm week in Oklahoma for the second week of April. Temperatures will continue to climb this weekend. Overnight lows now through Sunday will be anywhere from the 40s to low 60s and daytime highs will range from the upper 70s to low 90s.

After a warm weekend, Oklahoma could have have two chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms on Monday night and Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Areas impacted could be northern, central and southwest Oklahoma.

Areas of southwest Oklahoma could reach 100 degrees this weekend.

It's still springtime in Oklahoma, but some areas could feel like summer this weekend! According to KFOR Meteorologist Mike Morgan, Jackson and Harmon Counties in southwest Oklahoma could be the hottest places in the United States on Sunday. And he's predicting that the town of Eldorado, Oklahoma, could get real close to 100 degrees.

Storm chances across Oklahoma could change early next week.

Although the next chance for rain in Oklahoma will be early next week, it is highly likely that the forecast will change. Nothing new for Oklahoma! On Monday and Tuesday next week, various areas of Oklahoma have anywhere from a 15 to 40 percent chance of precipitation. But the National Weather Service in Norman is encouraging Oklahomans to continue paying attention to the forecast throughout the weekend.

After this upcoming hot weekend, Oklahomans will begin looking ahead to Easter Sunday. There has been talk that it could rain on Easter in Oklahoma, but now that we're getting closer, it's looking like there may be storms around Easter. According to Morgan, there may be a few storms on Easter in Oklahoma, but he's expecting rich moisture to by limited. However, he is seeing a very wet storm slowly moving into Oklahoma around April 23 to 25.

Oklahomans may have to wait another week to get an accurate forecast for Easter Sunday! Until then, they may want to have an inside Easter egg hunt contingency plan just in case!
