Spirit of Survival Taking Over Lawton, Oklahoma This Weekend
Spirit of Survival is back this weekend in Lawton, Oklahoma! After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the annual race returns for a weekend full of events. Whether you're running, walking, riding a bike or watching for support, there's something for everyone at this year's Spirit of Survival.
The annual Spirit of Survival is a fundraiser for the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma and helps the center "make great strides in the treatment and accessibility to care for cancer patients across Southwest Oklahoma." This year's race will look different than previous years as Spirit of Survival has partnered with the Major Taylor Cycling Club of Oklahoma and will include four lengths of bike tours.

Online registration for the Spirit of Survival events has already closed, but those interested in participating can still sign up in person from noon to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma, located at 110 NW 31st Street in Lawton.

Saturday, Oct. 5
- Children Fun Ride
- Bike Tours - 14 miles, 27 miles, 52 miles and 64 miles
Sunday, Oct. 6
- Spirit Walk
- Bubble Run
- 5K Run

Spirit of Survival Road Closures
For those living in Lawton, the Spirit of Survival will have several road closures in Lawton. The City of Lawton posted information on the specific road closures.
Also, Spirit of Survival is asking participants and spectators to arrive at least 30 minutes early for parking and packet pick-up.
