Everyone Wanted To Be In Oklahoma, Now People Might Be Planning To Leave
Oklahoma made many headlines this year and drew folks from all over the country to move here. But after this year's Presidential election, research showed that Americans were incredibly interested in moving to a different country. And according to moveBudda, many Oklahomans feel the same way.
Oklahoma's Good Side And Growth in 2024
Oklahoma was on many maps this year for folks looking to move. Being the most affordable to state to own pets, or one of the cheapest to live in overall, made it a magnet for folks looking to save as much as they could. The population grew faster in 2023 than any year since 2013, according to kansascityfed.org.
But low prices haven't solved everyone's issues. And post election searches made it very apparent that not everyone was happy with living in the sooner state or the country.

Will People Stay In Oklahoma In 2025?
Maybe! But even if some folks are wanting to leave, there may be more coming in. There have been accounts of realtors seeing a spike in interest from other states wanting to move to Oklahoma after the election.
@shannareagent Genuinely curious, are you planning on moving to Oklahoma because of the election outcome? #oklahoma #livinginoklahoma #sellingoklahoma ♬ original sound - Shanna Yeargain
The short answer is: it depends.
In my opinion, some folks are waiting to see what happens after the beginning of the year before making any major decisions. While others are just saving up the $4,450 it takes to move to Germany or the $2,000+ it could take to move to Denmark. Then again, it could all just be wishful thinking and no one can really afford to leave, they just might want to.
