The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has approved the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 12 and up. So now younger kids are able to get vaccinated against the virus. Now that all the Federal approvals are met the OSDH (Oklahoma State Department of Health) has green lighted county health departments across the state to start offering the vaccine to anyone 12 years of age and older immediately.

The City of Lawton, FISTA Development Trust Authority and the Comanche County Health Department have teamed up to make getting your COVID-19 vaccinations much easier. Starting today (02-22-21) the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) will be set up in the Central Mall in the old Dillard's location doing COVID-19 vaccinations.

Last week the Comanche County Health Department held it's first COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton and at the Community Center in Altus. Both locations provided vaccinations to those 65 years of age or older for Phase 2 of the vaccine rollout in the state and the Nation. Another vaccination clinic will be scheduled as soon as more vaccine becomes available.
