Lawton officials just announced the return of the "Yard of the Month" contest. It's your shot at scoring not only a $100 gift card to Bedrock Nursery but just as important, bragging rights!

It's back! Now that it's finally Springtime the 'Yard of the Month' competition has officially returned! LETA (Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority) just announced that the contest kicks off today (04-01-22) and will run until (10-31-22) so get your yard ready!

Naturescape Nursery and Parks Jones Realty have teamed to celebrate Arbor Day and will be giving away FREE OAK TREES tomorrow, Saturday, April 24th (04-24-21) starting at 9:00am until 1:00pm at Naturescape Nursery located at 11703 N.W. Cache Road that's about 2 miles south of Classic Chevrolet on Cache Road. They have 200 Red Oak trees that they'll be giving away all you have to do is stop by and pick one up while supplies last.

You can nominate your neighbors, friends and family for the "Yard of the Month" award and every month throughout the Spring/Summer a new winner will be selected and announced.

The Oklahoma annual Azalea Festival is coming up next month in April. The event takes place every year in Muskogee, Oklahoma at Honor Heights Park. You'll have the entire month of April to enjoy the event, all the flowers and incredible landscapes. I've never had the opportunity to go so I think this will be the year the family and I make the trip. I've seen tons of pictures of the festival and of all the flowers. I know a few people who go every year and they always tell me I should go and what a good time it is.
